Refund policy

We hope you love your new jewellery as much as we loved creating it. Each piece is handmade with care, and we carefully inspect all items before shipping. However, if something isn’t quite right, we’re happy to offer a store credit in line with the conditions below.

Please note: we do not offer refunds for change of mind.


Eligibility for Store Credit

To be eligible for a store credit:

  • The item must be unworn, in brand new condition, and returned in its original packaging.
  • The return must be requested and sent back within 7 days from the delivery date (Australia) and 14 Days from the delivery date (USA & NZ)
  • The item must not have been purchased on sale.

To start a return, please contact us at hello@shopdeya.com before sending your item back. Items sent without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll issue a store credit (in the form of a gift card or code) via email. Store credits have no expiry date and can be used on any future purchase.


Faulty or Damaged Items

We take great care to ensure every piece is made to the highest quality standards. If you believe your item is faulty or damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@shopdeya.com with your order number and clear photos of the issue.

If the item is confirmed to be faulty:

  • We will cover return postage costs.
  • Depending on the situation, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Please note that minor variations in colour, bead shape, or texture are part of the handmade process and are not considered faults.


Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for covering return postage for change-of-mind returns (where eligible for store credit).
  • We recommend using tracked postage, as we cannot take responsibility for lost return parcels.

Processing Times

  • Once your return is received, refunds or store credits are processed within 3-5 days.
  • International returns may take 2-4 weeks to reach us depending on the carrier.

Important Information

  • Sale items are final and cannot be returned.
  • Direct exchanges are not available.
  • There may be short processing delays during busy periods, but we’ll always keep you updated once your return has been received.

International Notes 

  • Original customs duties or import taxes paid by the customer are non refundable.
  • Returned parcels marked 'Return to Sender' due to unpaid duties cannot be accepted. 
  • If customs duties/taxes are applied to a return shipment sent to us, these will be deducted from the final refund or store credit. 
  • Refunds are processed in AUD. Your bank or card issuer may apply conversion fees or exchange rate variations, which DEYA cannot reimburse.
